Poetry- Study of a girl in blue

is college really supposed to be like this
perpetual questioning of intelligence, worth
an arbitrary system numbers letters percentages
odds always stacked in favor of those who aren't
you
hours of working learning understanding
fighting grasping desperately at concepts
needing to prove ourselves, prove we're worth the privelage
of feeling worthless
never approving always searching
for someone better
smarter
faster
more pliable
mold me in your image
a tyrant
king of nothing
defined by the walls of a classroom
influence extending nowhere
mourned only by a legacy of frustration
your dreams stunted rotting
poisoning those you.... teach?
suffocate me, stunt me, stall my dreams
i dare you
tyrant of fools
try, just try to make me
you
